What are the application requirements?To qualify, candidates must demonstrate academic excellence and involvement in their community or workplace: Ø Grade point average above 3.0. Community Impact (charitable work and social projects.) Ø Participation in the workforce (past/current paid/unpaid jobs.) Ø Extracurricular activities (sports, arts, music, etc.) Ø Special circumstances (economic and social hardships.) Ø Write the requested essay (refer to the online scholarship form.) Candidates must be enrolled or have received an acceptance letter when applying for a scholarship.

What is the application deadline ?Each year, the application is open on March 1st, and the deadline falls on May 30th at 11:59 PM (EDT.) As a reminder, the application dates may be subject to change without prior notice.

How many scholarships can I apply for concurrently?Students may apply for several scholarships if they are eligible for each.

What kind of scholarships does your organization grant, and what are their eligibility criteria?For A Bright Future Scholarship Programs support minority students who are socially and economically disadvantaged and achieved outstanding academic success, as well as demonstrated involvement in their community or the workplace.

Is there an age limit to apply? And do I need to be enrolled in a higher education institution such as a college or university?Those eligible to apply for the scholarships must have finished their secondary education (twelve grade), obtained an advanced degree, or enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.

Which states can apply?We accept applications from all the United States and its territories. Students could apply for the Scholarship if they enrolled in any college in the United States.

Is there an opportunity for candidates studying abroad to apply?We do not provide scholarships to students outside the United States and its territories. International students who live and attend school in the United States may apply.

Can a relative of an active duty service member apply for the Veterans & Families Scholarship For A Bright Future?Yes. This Scholarship is available for military personnel, veterans, and their family members.

What do we consider a military family or relative?The scholarship applicant must have their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) be a military member.

What is the award amount per Scholarship?The Parent Board determines the award amount, which depends on the applicant's financial need and can be up to $10,000.

When will I be notified about the status of my application?By October of the current year, the Foundation will make known the awardees using personal contact (email or telephone), social media, and press communication.

What is the annual number of scholarships awarded yearly?The number of awards presented can differ and is at the discretion of the Foundation.

How are the awards paid to the scholarship recipients?ayments are made by check and mailed directly to the college or university of attendance.
